Fender Made In Japan Stratocaster Standard SH 2012 - Sonic Blue

A secondhand Fender Made In Japan ST-STD (Stratocaster Standard) in Sonic Blue. This is a transitional era model built in the Dyna Gakki factory during Fender Japan's final independent years.

This guitar has been upgraded with a pre-wired Custom Shop tortoiseshell pickguard loaded with Custom Shop Fat 50's pickups and Custom Shop electrics including CTS pots etc. 

Body Material: High-grade Basswood. It features classic comfort contours and is typically finished in a high-gloss polyester coat

Neck Construction: One-piece Maple neck and fingerboard with a dark walnut "skunk stripe" running down the spine to enclose the truss rod

Neck Profile: Oval / Slim "C" carve. It provides a modern, fast feel that is comfortable for both rhythm and lead play

Neck Finish: Smooth, sleek Matt / Satin poly finish on the back, which prevents your hand from sticking while playing

Fingerboard Radius: Modern 9.5" to 9.84" radius (241mm–250mm). This is flatter than vintage Fender necks, allowing for lower string action and clean note bending

Frets: 21 Medium Jumbo (or modern vintage-style) frets, accented by clean black dot position inlays

Scale Length: 25.5" (648 mm)

Nut Width: 1.66" (42 mm)

Headstock Layout: Small Pre-CBS style headstock featuring a modern, clean whitish-silver Fender logo and a single modern button-style string tree. The truss rod adjustment hole is located at the top of the headstock for easy access

Pickups: 3x Fender Custom Shop Fat 50’s Pickups

Controls: 1 Master Volume, 2 Tone Controls, and a 5-way blade pickup selector switch

Bridge Hardware: Vintage-style 6-screw synchronized tremolo system paired with die-cast block saddles
