Fender Stratocaster Vintage 1958 All Original - Three Tone Sunburst
We are proud to offer for sale an exceptional example of a 1958 Fender Stratocaster, retaining 100% originality of all components! This example still has its vibrant three-tone sunburst finish, possessing the red hues in the burst which normally fade over time. The serial number is 28570 and the guitar sports a body date of 6-58 and a neck date of 8-58.
The one piece maple neck is in great shape, with a limited amount of fingerboard wear on the 1st and 2nd frets and feels nicely worn in with smooth, silky texture that doesn't stick to your thumb. The nut and frets are original, which is very uncommon on guitars of this age and there is approximately 60% fret life remaining. The neck grip is slightly thin and has the famous ‘58 profile which feels both like a U and a C, very comfortable to play! Neck measurements are 21.3mm at the first fret and 25.1mm at the 12th fret.
Electrics wise, the guitar is 100% original with untouched solder joints, 3 black bobbin pickups and pot codes reading 304825 (25th week of 1958). The three way selector switch and capacitor are also original and untouched. Photos of internal cavities and indeed in person inspection are available upon request. The single line kluson-deluxe tuners as well as the saddles both have the correct patent numbers. The pickguard and plastics are well kept, with little shrinking, probably due to having spent most of its life protected in the case.
The guitar also comes with the original tweed case and tremolo arm. This guitar is a great player and also a great investment piece as prices for vintage guitars of this era have skyrocketed in recent years. Please consider this opportunity!
