The Gibson Ripper (L9-S), introduced in 1973 and designed by Bill Lawrence, is a vintage solid-body electric bass known for its bright, versatile tone, featuring a maple or alder body, set maple neck, 34 1/2" scale length, and two "Super Humbucker" pickups. Key features include a 4-position "Q-system" rotary switch, offering diverse passive tones
