Gibson Les Paul Standard Mahogany 2016 S/H

A top-line Les Paul Standard from Gibson’s Nashville USA plant, this one with a few twists. Limited edition from 2016, The top is carved from Mahogany, not the usual Maple. Going back to the ’50s Gibson would sometimes use all Mahogany bodies for Les Pauls and works brilliantly combined with the extra output and clarity from the Alnico V Burstbucker Pro pickups.
The one-piece Mahogany slim taper profile neck has a thick Rosewood fingerboard with a compound radius fingerboard and Mother of Pearl trapezoid inlays. The slippy Tektoid nut combines with the Grover locking machine heads and Tone Pro Tune-O-Matic bridge/stop bar for excellent tuning stability. There’s some cool switching too- all four of the volume/tone pots are push/pull giving coil taps for both pickups, phase reverse and true bypass output.
